Meet Coach Doobz

This is my story

My name is Marc “Doobz” Dubois.

I was born 2 months premature at 4 lbs 4 oz. During delivery, the cord was wrapped around my neck causing oxygen deprivation.
Doctors said that I was 3 seconds away from being a vegetable or more likely dead. The birth trauma left me with a chronic condition similar to cerebral palsy.

Doctors told my parents “put him in a chair in a corner and forget about him. He will never be aware of his surroundings, unable to walk, talk or function.” That dire prognosis could not be further from the truth!

I had 18 surgeries/medical procedures before my 18th birthday, as well as countless hours of physical, speech, and occupational therapy.

I spent, in total, a year of my life in a hospital bed. I was horribly bullied as a child and faced a hundred other adversities in my life so far, some related to CP and some that came along in the ordinary course of life.

Yet today, I have achieved every goal I have set out to reach. I have earned 2 degrees, 3 professional licenses, and successful careers in finance, teaching, and ministry.

But my biggest success was becoming a NASM nationally certified personal trainer and three-time trophy winning men’s physique athlete. Since then, I have found both personal and financial success as an online, life coach, and motivational speaker through my business DoobzFit.

YET, I AM NOT IMMUNE TO LIFE’S DIFFICULTIES

In the course of my life 2013-mid 2017 were among the hardest years of my life. I found myself unemployed/underemployed with debilitating anxiety and poor health. During this uncertain time I slipped into a serious depression and was headed for suicide. I was in the midst of a total life collapse.

Just after getting started with my fitness journey I was offered the surprise opportunity of an award provided by the local NPC (National Physique Committee) that covered part of my expenses to do my first men’s physique competition.

I had dreamed of being a men’s physique since going to the Arnold Classic in 2010. I seized the opportunity, and I set out to do my first show.

Under the watchful and loving care of some amazing coaches and mental health professionals, I went through an 11 month combined physical, mental, and emotional transformation/healing process through the gym – nothing less than a total life transformation- from the inside out

By the time I got on stage 11 months later I had gone from 190lbs to 136lbs and from 20% body fat to 6.25%. I got on stage one person and came off another. The experience of being on stage was utterly amazing and to this day defies complete description. To call the experience of my first show life transforming is a gross understatement

Anything is Possible

On show day I was completely focused on bringing my best physique to the stage for myself. I was not concerned about my fellow competitors. I had worked hard, got in shape naturally, and was proud of my physique and journey.

To my stunned amazement, I won trophies in 3 of the 4 divisions I entered

(2nd in my age division, 3rd in novice and 3rd in open. In the 4th division I was 7th out of 16 top half of the division)! There were no blow out classes, and no accommodations given to my condition.

Since the show I decided to become a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT), Corrective Exercise Specialist

(NASM -CES), and Certified Nutrition Coach (NASM-CNC) and turned my passion for fitness into my income. I launched DoobzFit as my way of paying forward the gift of health, fitness I have been given, and as a platform to share my inspirational story with others.

As of today, I have a 100% 5 star rating from my coast-to-coast clients. To date, I have worked with over 300 clients from as young as 15 to as old as 85, from total fitness beginner to seasoned athlete looking at going to the next level, from the average person looking to lose a few pounds to the morbidly obese where working out is literal life and death, and many other kinds of people.

What's Your Excuse?

If I, a guy who only a few years ago, was on the verge of total life collapse and nearing suicide can come back from the edge, and in less than two years, go from suffering from anxiety, depression, and abysmally low self-confidence to becoming a trophied men’s physique athlete, what’s your excuse?

If I can go from barely surviving to chasing my own life and financial freedom through running a thriving personal training and motivational speaking business, what’s your excuse?

If you’re ready to change your physique, and in the process change the way you feel about yourself.

If you’re ready to breakthrough your perceived physical and mental limits.

If you’re ready to take hold of your health, fitness, self-confidence – to take hold of your LIFE ABOVE LIMITS, please contact me.

I am ready to get you to your Limitless Life.
